What should we feature in our Sidebar Amazon Widget?

Right now we are still showing the Harry Potter series from last month. On the main site, we are now recommending books by authors who have self published. We could do that here, or we could feature something our fans want to see.

  • So, what’s your favorite genre?
  • Or, what’s your favorite book?
  • Favorite author?

We’ll feature what YOU want us to feature! Let us know.

The Crew’s Favourite Genres

In response to myhobbyisdrawing below is the rest of the crews favourite genre’s

Mark: Science Fiction, Mysteries, General Thrillers, etc …. What he doesn’t like is overly mature content. There’s enough of that in the world. He doesn’t need to be reminded of it when he reads.

Dot: She’s willing to give anything a go once, but the genres she reads most are Historical Fantasy, General Fantasy, Adventure, Romance and General Young Adult Fiction. She’s not easily deterred by mature content, although that doesn’t make it necessary.

Sharon: At some point in the 1970’s she discovered Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. She’s a huge fan of Isaac Asimov, Dean Koontz, John Saul, J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, and J.K. Rowling. She still favours Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror genres, although she’s been dabbling in other genres as of late.

Angel: Agatha Christie, and other crime novelists, fantasy and science fiction, and romance- plus adventure books with a bit of everything! She also has a soft spot for Derek Landy’s Skullduggery Pleasant series!

Trish:  She loves reading anything with a good storyline. It can be of any genre but specifically, her favorite genres are Action/Adventure, Supernatural/Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Teen Novels and Romance. She has read a few books which focus on freedom and human rights, and she especially takes a special interest in those genres as well.

She doesn’t have any favorite authors but she is a great fan of J.K Rowling and Lemony Snicket. Those two authors wrote the first two series of fictional novels she ever completed and enjoyed all the way through.

Nadia: Historical Fantasy (such as that written by Juliet Marillier), Legal Thrillers, Mysteries, and good ol’ General Fiction (such as that written by Jodi Picoult).

Ciel:The everything goes category (genre-wise)! But on her bad days she can get really picky. Her all-time favourites are Fantasy and its sub-genres, “Classical” books, and Science Fiction, all mixed with bits of adventure and romance. So far, she avoids extreme mature content like the plague, as she says, “it scares me out of my skin” (meaning, it’s not what she’s comfortable with). She tries to never put down a book, and if she does, she has great reasons to not recommend the book.
